Awards 

Numerous institutions have recognized Azeem's contributions to healthcare and education. 

 

He was included in the Queen’s New Year's Honours List 2021 for services to healthcare education and received the title Medallist of the Order of the British Empire (BEM). 

 

He is also the recipient of the Imperial College London Emerging Alumni Leader Award 2022 and King’s College London Distinguished Alumni Award 2022. Azeem's work has been honoured by institutions including the Department of Health and Social Care, King's College London, Imperial College London, the Cabinet Office, and the British Medical Association.

 

He has been honoured to attend numerous auspicious events and venues, including His Majesty the King’s Coronation (2023) by His Majesty, the Royal Box at Wimbledon Tennis Championship (2021) by Ian Hewitt, the Buckingham Palace Garden party (2022) by the late Her Majesty the Queen and The National Service of Thanksgiving on the Anniversary of the Foundation of the NHS by Sir Simon Stevens.
